Double award for Paneuropa Transport GmbH
Paneuropa Transport GmbH wins two awards from Anheuser-Busch InBev on Carrier Day

Prague, October 2024 – At this year’s Carrier Day, Paneuropa Transport GmbH received no fewer than two significant awards from Anheuser-Busch InBev (ABInBev) in Prague: the award for “Best Transport Practice – Zone Europe” and the title “Best Performing Transport Partner – BU International”. These accolades are not only affirmation of the company’s exceptional performance, but also highlight the important contribution it makes to sustainable and efficient transport solutions.

Double success at Carrier Day

For the “Best Transport Practice – Zone Europe” award, the participating companies had the opportunity to present their best practices when handling ABInBev’s transport requirements. Paneuropa Transport GmbH impressed with its use of REEFUEL® bio-LNG upstream and downstream of intermodal transport, which allows a significant CO2 saving. This renewable, environmentally friendly fuel was crucial for the company’s selection by the participating jury, which chose the winner from six presented best practices.

The second award, “Best Performing Transport Partner – BU International”, was conferred on the basis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs). In connection with other transport benefits, these formed the foundations for honouring the best international haulier in ABInBev’s network. Paneuropa was the only company to celebrate two awards, which represents an outstanding success, especially given the fact that only six prizes were awarded in various categories in all.

A strong signal for a successful partnership

“Although the award comes from a single customer, this success means a great deal to us. Anheuser-Busch InBev is one of the world’s largest brewery firms and a major partner for our company”, said Nils Buchmann, CEO of Paneuropa Transport GmbH. The ABI Group relies on a “team of teams” concept, which puts the emphasis on close cooperation with its partners – an approach that was clearly visible on Carrier Day.

This year’s event brought together around 40 representatives of ABInBev’s biggest and most powerful transportation partners. The attendees networked in informal groups and “break-out sessions”, before the awards were given out at the “Beer and Recognition” event in the evening.

Focus on sustainability and efficiency

With innovative approaches and a clear commitment to sustainability, Paneuropa has established itself as a reliable partner to Anheuser-Busch InBev and is at the vanguard of sustainable transport. In international intermodal logistics particularly, Paneuropa is a pioneer, offering reliable, efficient, door-to-door solutions. The focus of these solutions lie on connections between Germany, Italy and the BeNeLux countries. Thanks to the efficient and streamlined cooperation of the teams in Verona and Bremen, the company has been able to successfully overcome numerous challenges in its operational business and thus pave the way for long-term success. This cooperation is a significant stepping stone in the continual optimisation of transport processes and plays a key role in Paneuropa’s success. Thanks to long-term partnerships and the combination of road and rail, the company is conquering challenges such as the up-coming Brenner renovation and transporting goods from Hamburg to Verona, for example, on just 40 kilometres of road – the rest is travelled by eco-friendly rail.

Prospects for the future

According to the announcement by ABInBev, the event in Prague is set to be held annually in the future, which highlights the key importance of partnership. For Paneuropa, Carrier Day offers the opportunity to expand further on its successful cooperation and create new impetus in dialogue with other hauliers.
